….Atiku Abubakar; Nasir El Rufai; Dino Melaye, Femi Fani-Kayode and Babatunde O. Gbadamosi fight for top honors as the Most Active Politician Online
In what is shaping up to be a tight race among the final nominees for Most Active Politician on the Internet at the upcoming Nigerian DotCom Awards, it appears that Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, who is suspected by many to have the best grassroots organization structure in the country, is also pretty well organized on the internet.
In the early voting results made available by the organizers, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar appears to leading the other 4 contenteders for the Most Active Politician Online in Nigeria, based on the number of voters who have voted so far. Of course, recent developments also show that the other nominees such as Babatunde O. Gbadamosi, Nasir El Rufai and Otunba Dino Melaye, and Femi Fani-Kayode are not ready to conceed the title of Most Active Politician on the internet to Atiku as the voting pattern has started witnessing a surge for the other nominees in the last couple of days. In particular, it appears that fans of Femi Fani Kayode’s, an early favorite who seemed to have fizzled out in the voting results from last week, seemed to have woken up to how important this award is, as they have started showing up to vote for their candidate in the last few hours.
